Building on the success of their multi-window model from Nicky Jam: El Ganador, Sergio and CTMOBS took on Zorro, a globally beloved IP with a century-long legacy of adaptations. After securing the rights from John Gertz of Zorro Productions, Inc., they partnered with industry leaders like Andy Kaplan, Jesús Torres, and Glenda Pacanins.
When U.S. and Latin American funding wasn’t enough, Sergio expanded the model by bringing in Secuoya Studios in Spain. This allowed them to secure a global distribution deal with Mediawan in France. With this partnership, Zorro was produced as a high-budget, €34 million series that retained full IP ownership.
The show premiered on Prime Video in January 2024 in Latin America and the U.S., with additional licensing deals for Italy and the United States, as well as a broadcast partnership with RTVE in Spain. The series reached audiences worldwide, including France, Russia, and beyond, cementing it as a modern, globally recognized reimagining of a timeless legend.
